Notes:
clearly, Burgert's records of the immigrant Adam Dietrich are more compelling than
the History of Lehigh County writeup (at least as far as that writeup discusses
Adam). The presence of Adam in Lehigh County with the Mosers (and others
who moved to upper Lehigh County later) in 1756-8 (at Lehigh Church) is important.
I believe that his father died here leaving several children or someone taking
care of the children brought them to Lehigh County. I also suspect (but
can't prove) that his sisters married in the area.

maybe this is really John, son of John died 1785 Greenwich (who I suspect is
still a relative of Adam and Barbara).
note - a JohnDietrich, Letters of Admin 7 Nov 1785, Greenwich, admin to Barbara
the widow
History of Lehigh County says widow was Barbara (Braucher) and they had 3 sons,
Johannes, Jacob, and John Adam. It says Johannes was a son of Casper
andcome on the Phoenix in 1751. I think this was a different John.
a Johannes, born 7 Nov 1760, in Maidencreek Twp, Berks, and moved ot
East Buffalo Twp, Union Co, served in the Rev. and visited relatives in Greenwich.
