    Co.), PA. He is said to have served in the militia in theFrench and Indian
    War.

    Northampton Co. estate file #1148:
    Jacob Heffelfinger died intestate. The administrators of his estate were sons
    Henry and John Heffelfinger, who signed a bond of administration on 31 January
    1786. The sureties were Abraham Lebensberger and Dewalt Schafer.

    David and his family lived in Ross Twp., Monroe Co., PA in the portion of that
    township that became Eldred Twp. in 1851.

    David died intestate in Ross Twp., Monroe Co., PA. On 26 March 1839 his widow,
    Susanna, signed a bond to administer his estate. The courthouse documents
    mention that David left eleven children including John, David Jr., Caroline,
    Sally, and Conrad. The other children are not named. (Monroe Co. estate file
    #24)

    David's burial location is not known. He is most likely buriedin St. Matthew's
    Union Church cemetery with no tombstone on his grave since his wife, Susanna,
    is buried there also.
