"There was also a Joseph and Mary TROUT who lived in the Cocalico Township and
engaged in land deals with Philip TROUT and Adam MOSER in the 1750s.[6]
Adam MOSER may be the brother of Eva MOSER who married Balthasar TROUT,
probably the son of one of the three brothers."

That both Jacob and Balthasar end up in Earl Twp area, I believe they might be
related. Still, there's no church records showing common sponsorship or anything
to support that theory.

From History of Berks Co, pg 1465, by Montgomery (I don't believe most of this):
The Trouts were from England. There were three brothers, one settled in
Berks Co, 1 in Germantown, and 1 in Lancaster Co. By tradition, all three were
in the Continental Army under Washington.
One who went to Berks Co didn't speak German, but married a German woman
named Hartline. They had children John and Samuel. John, 1758-1844 is buried
at the Hill Church
Comment - Too many of those three brother theories!. There were several early
brothers, likely, who account for many of these branches (having arrived around 1709).
But it would be their sons or grandsons who would fight under Washington. (or
in the state militias).
The story is also clearly about Samuel Traut, s/o Jacob Sr, who married Magdalena
Hartline. Samuel was born about 1780.Jacob married Wife UNKNOWN Bef 1766, PA. Wife was born 27 Dec 1738, PA; died 6 Nov 1811, Berks Co, PA; was buried Falckner Reformed Church, Upper Hanover Twp, Montgomery Co, PA. [Group Sheet]
