from Floyd's History of Northumberland County:
Johan Adam Howerter, one of the sons of Adam Howerter who accompanied him
to Northumberland county, was bornAug. 24, 1769, and died Feb. 14, 1847. His
wife, Catharine (Diehl), born Nov.29, 1772, died May 18, 1851. They had no
children. They are buried at Howerters Church.

Note - I did have death month as April - source?
Adam Jr's willgives everything to John Moyer, a friend (does that prove he had no
children?). Note that 1850 census shows Catharine living with John Moyer, 56,
and wifeCatharine 50 (and their children).

Did Adam Jr really have no children? It's clear from his will that he left his estate
to John Moyer. But that could be that John had agreed to provide for Adam
in exchange for the land. That's not uncommon. (although it was normally
done as an agreement before hand witha trusted relative).

Johan married Catharine DIEHL Bef 1800, PA. Catharine (daughter of Johannes DIEHL and Catharina UNKNOWN) was born 29 Nov 1772, Longswamp Twp, Berks Co, PA; died 18 May 1851, Upper Mahanoy Twp, Northumberland Co, PA; was buried Howerter's Church, Upper Mahanoy Twp, Northumberland Co, PA.
