Northumberland Co Account Book 3:745, 1859, Shamokin

From History of Northumberland County, pg 616:
George Hartlein (the name George is very common in this family), grandfather
of George W. Hartlein, was a farmer in Berks county, where he died, at Spangsville.
His wife, whose maiden name was Mosser [this is really a reference to Conrad
Hartlein's wife believe], bore him the following children: Joseph; Jared; George,
living in hiladelphia; and Mary, who married Samuel Brosius and is livingat
    Stonington, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania.

Joseph Hartlein was born Dec. 15, 1829, in Berks county, and when a young
man came to Northumberland county, settling in Mahantongo Valley [wrong he
was born in Schuylkill Co! see above baptism at Howerters to George] etc.

**I have yet to see a valid source for George's wife being a Mosser. As noted above,
I think this was a reference to his mother being a Moser. But I *do* know he's listed
as a son-in-law for Peter Yoder's will. So since noone has shown otherwise, that
seems to be his one and only wife. (note Yoder sponsors to George and Maria).

Jared would seem to be named for Maria's brother who probably died about the time
    of this birth.

The will of Mary Hartlein, of Shamokin Twp, 1867, mentions children Isaac, Joseph,
Jared, and Maryann. Also son George.

George married Anna Maria YODER Bef 1828, Upper Mahantongo Twp, Schuylkill Co, PA. Anna (daughter of Peter YODER and Catharine TRAUT) was born 7 Oct 1797, Oley Twp, Berks Co, PA; died 19 Sep 1872, Shamokin Twp, Northumberland Co, PA; was buried Jacob's Church, Reed Station, Near Paxinos, Ralpho Twp, Northumberland Co, PA.
