    The 1920 and 1930 census name Aunt Billie Jean as "Willie Rae" Smith.
    Billie's invisible friend (ghost story)
    According to cousin Billie Jo Smith-Offut. when aunt Billie was very young 3-4 years old, she would laugh and giggle and play with an invisible friend in the back yard for many hours of their farm in Tennessee. This went on for a long time but no one would see this friend but Billie. At first the family thought that it was a part of her imagination, as she was the first living child of Oda and Viola, until one day they asked Billie the name of her friend.
    Billie told them her friend's name was Wanda Rue, at that everyone gasped, as Wanda Rue and Addie Gaynola were two gilrs of Oda and Viola that died in infancy before Billie was born.

    Billie married Jesse Truman KERR 17 Nov 1937, Claiborne County, Tennesse. Jesse (son of John A. KERR and Lillie Elizabeth FARR) was born 3 Apr 1908, Sevier County, Tennesse; died 1955, Sevier County, Tennesse. [Group Sheet]
