  Citizen Standard obituary Michael J. Durkin, 54, of Tower City, died Thursday, July 29, at his home. Born in Lykens on June 24, 1950, he was a son of the late John and Violet M. Wolfgang Durkin. He was employed as a die repairman at TYCO, Lickdale. He was of the Catholic faith. He was a graduate of the former Porter Tower High School, a member of the Ham Radio Club and the Loyal Order of Moose No. 1603, Tower City. He was also a former EMT. He was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Mione. Surviving are his brothers, John P. and Edward R., both of Tower City and his sister, Mary Ellen Moyer of Camp Hill and nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held on Sunday, August 1,from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc., Tower City, with the Rev. Edward Gobrecht officiating. Interment was in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Williamstown. Memorial donations may be made to the Tower/Porter EMS, P.O. Box 33, Tower City, PA 17980.
