- internet says husband is Samuel Michael...
Appolonia is not mentioned in the Orphan court records, does she really fit here?
information on her is fromLarry Knarr
Note that the Schaffers went to Jefferson County. Perhaps she was raised
by a sibling of her mother.
Is there any chance that the following records are for a different Knerr family
at Stone Valley Church? That's a ways from Howerters. Catharine Schaffer
would have been married in the Pitmanarea by this time.
Notes from Kalalena
Hi Tim,
The Stone valley communion registers and confirmations were located at the
Historical Society when Iwas in Sunbury years ago. But, it seems to me some of
the books were missingas I'd swear there was another volume when I was first there.
Confirmed - 12 June 1831
Isaac Knerr, aged 16 years
Abbalonia Knerr, aged 16 years [ wonder twins?? or cousins??]
Benjamin Witmer, aged 19 [ md. one of Michael gals]
Maria M. Michael, aged 17 years
Communion - 12 May 1833
Christian Michael
Johannes Michael
Benjamin Witmer
Magdalena Michael
Abbalonia Michael [she is now married!]
Catharina Michel
[ 34 men and 38 women communed that day]
Per Appellonia "Abby" (KNERR) MICHAEL'S Gravestone [ my Great-Great Grandmother] the age given calculates her birth to circa 9
March 1815. Thus, she'd only been a "child" when her father died!! I'm wondering if she & Isaac, Jr. were "twins" and simply "overlooked" her. (on genforum)
