- clearly, Burgert's records of the immigrant Adam Dietrich are more compelling than
the History of Lehigh County writeup (at least as far as that writeup discusses
Adam). The presence of Adam in Lehigh County with the Mosers (and others
who moved to upper Lehigh County later) in 1756-8 (at Lehigh Church) is important.
I believe that his father died here leaving several children or someone taking
care of the children brought them to Lehigh County. I also suspect (but
can't prove) that his sisters married in the area.

Adam Dietrich of Albany, died, Admin 10 Feb 1824, to son John (this is Adam Jr)
Tombstone says he was a Sergeant in Jacob Baily's Company during Revolution
Tombstone says born 28 Oct 1740, vs 8 Nov 1740
note: an Adam Dietrich in Sunbury. See deed G:70 of Jacob Becker to
Adam Dietrick.
History of Lehigh County, pg 256 and 257 says:
came with brother Johannes, 28 Oct 1767 on Britannia(no way, he was here in 1763!)
