In 1850 Sarah Salome was still single and living in or near the family homestead in Ross Twp., Monroe Co., PA (1850 census, Monroe Co., Ross Twp., p. 047 and 048) Sarah is listed twice in the census; at home with her widowed mother and brothers Nelson and Joseph and with another family in the same township. Note that there was another daughter named Sarah Rebecca.
