    • He was a Captain in the Revolutionary War, 1st. Lancaster County Batallion
      PAMilitia, under Colonel Ross whose company went to New Jersey in
      August, 1776,and stayed until February, 1777. (source) "Pennsylvania, War
      of The Revolution" referenced in book by Edgar Musser.

      He was a warden, elder and trustee ofthe Trinity Lutheran Church.

      His home, possibly still standing, was on the corner of Prince and Orange Streets
      (48-60 N. Prince St.). He was sheriff of Lancaster County and member of the Union
