Several John Trout's born about this time.
To have the one born in 1699, getmarried in 1736 seems a bit late. I have
some reservations that this is the right birth/marriage combination.
also a John Trout, 1701- Mar 1768, buried Old Tennent Church, Monmouth Co, NJ
(Scotch-Presbyterian Church - was he English?)
(others in Burlington and Cumberland Co, NJ?)
John Trout born ~1701,will dated 9-17-1766, probated 4-4-1768 in
Monmouth county, NJ. First known appearance in a land transaction 1745.
Also in freeholder's tax list for 130 acres in Upper Freehold twp,
Monmouth CO, NJ in 1748. Buried in Old Tennent Church cemetery in
Freehold, Monmouth county.
Wife Mary or Margaret Trout, dobunknown, believed buried next to John
in Monmouth. John's will names his beloved wife Mary, but an earlier
consent form apparently written by her for their daughter's marriage
shows her name as Markat or Margrat. John was not literate and signed
with an X, the consent form is in the same handwriting as her signature.
Will mentions daughters Margaret Cosman, Catherine Morris, Elizabeth,
and sons Peter, John and Jacob.
