Trying to prove parentage of John HELTMAN/HELPMAN who died intestate in Logan Twp, Clinton Co., PA in 1845. He married Christina KLECKNER/GLOECKNER ca 1780, probably in Moore Twp., Northampton Co., and they lived there until after 1793 when they moved westward. He was listedas "Doctor" and his estate was administered by Philip WOHLFORT, George WOHLFORT, and Levi SNOOK. Five of the children listed in his will in Centre Co. were baptized at Shoenersville, Lehigh Co.
He may be the son of Johannes HELTMAN/HELDMANN, blacksmith of Colebrookdale, Berks Co., PA, who was probably the Johannes who immigrated on the "John and Elizabeth" on 7 Nov 1754. Johannes HELTMAN died in 1814. This John HELTMAN, blacksmith of Colebrookdale, bought land in WestBuffalo Twp, Northumberland [now Union] Co., in 1773; he was an original member at the founding of Dreisbach's Church (between Lewisburg and Mifflinburg, Union Co., PA) in 1788. Sometime before 1805 he moved to Sugar Valley, Greene Twp., [now] Clinton Co. where he died in 1814.
