Magistrates administered the communities of Heimberg,
Thungschneit, Fahrni, Unterlangenegg, Oberlangenegg, Eriz,
Homberg Buchen, Schwarzenegg, Horrenback, Schwandiback, Goldiwil,
Teuffenthal and Heiligenschwendi from the administrative seat at
Steffisburg.
Jost Joder served as magistrate at the Lauenen before Thun from
1415 until 1428. His seal was a gold heraldic lily on a blue
ground. In the historical Museum in the Castle ofThun his seal
his chiseled in stone and is also to be seen on the board of
coats-of-arms in the church at Steffisburg.
