"... Peter settled on land conveyed to him by his father in Northampton in 1707 and 1715,
and later purchased 425 acres in Middletown. According to the Rev. Samuel Streng,
Peter Van Horn joined the Episcopla chruch,and was a vestryman of St. James Protestant
Episcopal church at Bristol, 1734-7. His children, all with the possible exception of
Barnard, his eldest son,being by the second wife Elizabeth..."
