  John is listed as a son of Isaac in Marvin's book and also Robert's Annals ofMontgomery County. I haven't seen anything to contradict that other than possibly the fact that John seems to show up both in Juniata County, PA and Ohio in 1860 (!). 1820 census, Wrightstown Twp, pg 305, 100010-00010 (by Thos Martindale) 1830 census, Northampton Twp, pg 041, 1010 0111-0200 11 1840 census,Northampton Twp, pg 216, ?0010 0001-0000 0001 (John L. VanHorn) 1850 census, pg 283, Fermanagh Twp, Juniata Co, (w/son Thomas), age 60 1860 census, (near end), Walker Twp, Juniata Co, (w/son Thomas), age 64, -/$1000, John Vanhorn,gentleman But who is John Vanhorn, 64, living with brother Charles Vanhorn in Hancock Co, OH in 1860? counted twice? why be a gentleman in PA and farm laborer in OH at same time?) OH census 9 Jun 1860 (age 64) PA census 16 Jun 1860 (age 64) so where was the "other" John in 1850 census?
