  • Notes
    • 1910 census, Eldred, Minnie Knerr 13, servant at home of Henry H. Maurer (appears
to be right next door to Knerr homestead).

      1920 census, Eldred, Fred Yoder 23, Minnie M 23, Abner J 3 11?12, Claude F 3?/12

      1930 census, Eldred, Fred Yoder 33, Minnie 33, Abner 12, Claud 10, Elva 8, Thelma 5,
      Luella 3 1/12 M 21/21, laborer, general farm, veteran=no

Sometimes used middle name of Miller (mother's name)

      OCCUPATION: farmer

      ORGANIZATIONS: Patriotic Sons of America

Note that the 1900 census listed his first name as "Frederick". The family
bible has "Fredy". Everywhere else it is just "Fred". Still, he's probably
named for his grandfather Frederick Miller

I found these interesting. They were in a memory book from Fred and Minnie
given to their son Abner Yoderwho was killed in World War II. They show a bit
      more of the human side:

      Pitman, Pa Oct 24, 1942
      Dear Son
I am proud of you/ put your trust in God and he will see you through/ we are

      Oct 8 1942
      Dear Son:
When the golden sun is setting and the swallow's homeward fly then you
can remember you have a mother's prayer with you/with love/ Mother

Cause of Death: of Parkinson's Disease
