      Matilda was the youngest daughter of John and Nancy. She
      lived on Walden’s Creek. Matilda died at an early age and
      Spencer married Nancy Patterson (1 Oct 1832-4 Jun 1898) on
      20 Oct 1853.

      Matilda’s children were:
      a. John born 1843 (a J.H. Benson m. S.E. Trotter 9 Apr 1878)
      + b. Sarah born 1845
      c. Nancy born 1847

      The children of Spencer and Nancy were:
      - Willis born 18 Aug 1854, m. Mary E. Murphy (27 Apr
      1847-15 Apr 1920). They are buried at Walden’s Creek
      Methodist Cemetery.
