Notes - Fought in Revolutionary War !!!
George and Esther had a second son that is unknown, probably an infant death. George's head stone is noted with a Revolutionary War marker.
Oley Valley Ancestors - by Guy L. Bierman Rev. 6 Jan 2002
"George was listed as an ensign and a courtmartial man in the 4th Comp. 1 st Battalion, Berks Co. Militia. " and was sent to Amboy. He often mentioned that whilein battle the shrill whistling of the cannon balls was always heard before the report. He served as a militia soldier in some battles and many skirmishes in the Jerseys."
