Congregation Church. The sponsors were John Jacob Meixell andhis wife, Maria Verona. Note: The baptism of Jacob Meixell in 1759 shown inthe translated and typed records of the old Williams Township Congregation Church show his parents as "Adam and Anna Margaretha Meixel". After considering the following observations, it is believed that this "Adam" Meixel was, in fact, Johannes Meixell. 1. The name "Adam" Meixel has never been found in any other church records, courthouse documents, tax lists, etc. in Northampton or Monroe Counties or in Lancaster Co. 2. Courthouse documents prove that Johannes Meixell's eldest son was named Jacob and that he was born around 1759. 3. Johannes Meixell's wife was also named Anna Margaretha. Jacob served in the Militia in Chestnuthill Twp. under Capt. John Griggory commanded by Col. Carn.
