WWII Navy veteran, two tours of duty. Stationed in the South Pacific for most of his Navy career as a Machinest Mate.
He earned a BS in Engineering and stared a Masters Degree at the Univeristy of Southern California.
He was an engineer for the Navel Underwater Ordinance Test Station of Pasedena, California for more than 35 years. After retirment he became a realestate broker.Willard married Charlcie Everhea SMITH 1942, Knoxvillie, Tennessee. Charlcie Everhea (pronounced "Everee") was born in Tennessee on April 27, 1925 to Oda Ray and Hester Viola LaFollette Smith.
She and her husband, Willard Harding Yoder, had 3 children. Their first child was a son they named Willard, who was born in TN. They then had a daughter, Nancy Anne and another son, Mark Douglas, both born in CA.
Charlcie and Willard made their home primairly in Arcadia, Los Angeles County, CA, although they spent two years in Glen Avon, Riverside Co., CA.
She was diagnosed with cancer in her early 30's. Charlcie died at Arcadia Methodist Hospital, Arcadia, CA on Nov. 25, 1961. She was buried at Rose Hills, Whittier, CA.
