Several John Trout's born about this time.

To have the one born in 1699, getmarried in 1736 seems a bit late. I have
some reservations that this is the right birth/marriage combination.

also a John Trout, 1701- Mar 1768, buried Old Tennent Church, Monmouth Co, NJ
(Scotch-Presbyterian Church - was he English?)

(others in Burlington and Cumberland Co, NJ?)

John Trout born ~1701,will dated 9-17-1766, probated 4-4-1768 in
Monmouth county, NJ. First known appearance in a land transaction 1745.
Also in freeholder's tax list for 130 acres in Upper Freehold twp,
Monmouth CO, NJ in 1748. Buried in Old Tennent Church cemetery in
    Freehold, Monmouth county.

Wife Mary or Margaret Trout, dobunknown, believed buried next to John
in Monmouth. John's will names his beloved wife Mary, but an earlier
consent form apparently written by her for their daughter's marriage
shows her name as Markat or Margrat. John was not literate and signed
with an X, the consent form is in the same handwriting as her signature.

Will mentions daughters Margaret Cosman, Catherine Morris, Elizabeth,
and sons Peter, John and Jacob.

    Notes:

    Name Suffix: Senior

Upper Dublin is just north of the turnpike.
    justnorth of Abington
    several miles north of Germantown

Johannes Traut, brewer, accused of Pietism in 1706 and forced to clean ditches
Lambsheim deeds: sold house in Kirchgasse to Adam Fauth 1709

London 1709, John Traut age 40, Reformed, brewer wf 2 children 10 and 6

Another version (mostly wrong) is in History of Berks Co, by Montgomery, pg 1465

sp -> 1699 Hans George Traut and Anna Maria (at Lambscheim)

1734 tax list, Upper Dublin, John Trout, $100 (probably John Jr)

    John's will mentions:
    Wife Catharine
    John, eldest son
    Philip, youngest son
    (others?)

    Exec: John Trout
Wit: Hugh Campbell, William Atkinson, John Cunards

Either Philip is the one born in c1703, or there is another son born c1703 and
Philip is born c1710 (when John would be about 41 years old).

much info from: Jack E. Gross which was from "Some Virginia Families" by McIlhaney

James E. Phillips says his cousin says this
John had children: John Balthazer, Nathaniel, Daniel, Jerimiah, George, and Philip.
Not sure if this is from original will or by inference.

From List of the members who joined the German Baptist Brethren in Europe Pages 54-70
    Traut, Johann Heinrich
    Traut, Jeremiah
    Traut, Balser
Traut, ????, first wife of above
Traut, ????, second wife of above
    Traut, Magdalena
[that suggests that George wasn't a member - note he was married in a Presbyterian Church]

    Notes:

the organization of this family is purely speculative and arranged for my convenience
in research. I'm guessing that the Trauts that stayed in Germantown proper were the
children of Baltzer Trout Sr. The others seem to fit here under George. I'm not convinced that Jeremiah had any kids.

    spelling: Traut, Trout, Draut, Drout
    misspelling: Kraut?
