The marriage of John Jacob Meixell to Veronica Zimmerman appears in the records
of the Reformed congregation of Tohickon Union Church in Bedminster Twp., Bucks
Co., PA. They were married by Rev. John Egidius Hecker.

On 4 November 1759 John Jacob and Maria "Verona" Meixell appeared as sponsors
at the baptism of John Jacob Meixell, son of John Jacob's brother, Johannes
Meixell and his wife, Anna Margaretha, at Williams Twp. Congregation Church. (listed
as Adam by error?)

John Jacob is believed to have followed his brother, Johannes, in migrating
to the northern tier of Northampton Co. The 1861 tax list shows John Jacob
taxed in Lower Smithfield (now part of Monroe Co., PA) for $4.

also, he was born at Schreisheim, in the Patatinate, 1679. Married Anna Maria Kling
of his native town. Had children John Valentin, Johannes, Alexander, Christina,
and Anna Maria. Both daughters died young. His wife died in Germany in 1720.
He settled near Germantown, died 1735 - buried in teh Brethren burying ground.

Leimen, Baden, Heidelburg, Gemany around 1 May 1677. His wife's name is not
known.

Bob Bohman:

Incidentally, Dale B's information is that Andreas Mixsell (Meiysell)'s
father Johann Wolfgang Meiysell was from Grieskirchen ob der Ens, Wels,
Austria before moving with Andreas to Leimen, Baden, Germany. A general
query to the Uberosterreich Genweb elicited a reply that the name Meiysell
may have had Jewish origins, perhaps Meissl or something like that.
