From History of Northumberland County, pg 357:
KLOCKS. The first ancestor of this old family in America was Peter Klock,
a German by birth, who came to this country about 1750. His first location was
somewhere in Berks county, in the Province of Pennsylvania, according to some
in Bern township, according to others near Womelsdorf, and again in Oley
township. It is probable that the last named location is more nearly the
correct one.
At any rate, Oley township was the homeof one Peter Kluck in
1756, on March 24th of which year the house of Peter Kluck, about fourteen
miles from Reading, was set on fire by the savages, and the whole family
killed. (Berks County History, 1909, says Peter Kluck and family, of Albany,
were killed by the Indians in March, 1756.) While the flames were still
ascending the Indians made an assault upon the house of one Linderman, in which
there were two men and one woman, all of whom ran upstairs, where the woman was
killed by a shot which went through the roof.
John Peter Klock, the ancestor of the Klocks in Northumberland county of
whom we write, was born Jan. 1, 1743, and as tradition has it that he came to
America when seven years old - this substantiates the date of 1750 for the
emigration of Peter Kluck, whom the Indians killed. Rupp's History makes the
statement that the "whole family was killed," which is probably inaccurate, as
John Peter Klock is said to have been and undoubtedly was a son of Peter
Kluck. He died Dec. 9, 1817, aged seventy-five years, less twenty four days.
His wife, Margareda, born April 10, 1747, died April 4, 1832. TheyJohn married Margaretha DRUCKENMILLER 1766, Upper Milford Twp, Lehigh Co, PA. Margaretha (daughter of Johan Sebastian TRUCKENMÜLLER and Catharine SCHAMBACH) was born 10 Apr 1747, Upper Milford Twp, Lehigh Co, PA; died 4 Apr 1832, Upper Mahantongo Twp, Schuylkill Co, PA; was buried Howerter's Church, Upper Mahanoy Twp, Northumberland Co, PA. I don't think there was a daughter Rebecca. The Rebecca in Margaretha's

This relationship isbased on indirect evidence. I don't believe Peter is
a son of Peter Klock whose house and family were burned by Indians in Berks
County. Rather, his association with Heinrich, wf Anna Maria, who
was confirmed at Falkner Swamp, seems more appropriate. See birth records
for Peter and Heinrich at Longswamp. Even without forcing the issue on who Peter's
father is, the question would remain - "who is this Matteus Klock with son Henrich
Klock, who is very close to Peter Klock?" For that reason, I think future research
should concentrate here rather than relying on supposed family traditions.

********** sequence Peter and Henrich show up:
Henrich confirmed in 1764, "son of Matteus" in Montgomery County
Peter meets and marries Margaretha Druckenmiller in Upper Milford, 1766
Henrich gets married c1768. Lives in Montgomery Co (?)
Henrich moves to E District Twp, Berks Co c1773
Peter lives in Longswamp by 1779
Henrich follows him to Longswamp, c1780
Since Henrich's confirmation says Matteus' son, it seems as though the father
was alive and living in Montgomery Co (or Berks?). This is the only record of
Matteus and makes me wonder if the translation could be flawed. The sons seem
to move on after this. One thought is that there may have been sisters,
possibly the women in the sponsor lists. Or maybe atteus had a different last
name and was a step father (though others are so marked). Or the same, but
Matteus was in fact the man's last name?)
I'm not entirely convinced that the3 brothers theory is correct either (that there
were three brothers with one going to NY and one to Canada). That seems to be the
old mistake of knowing that there were Klocks in those three locations and then
suggesting that the three brothers came over and spread out, accounting for all
the various lines.
Note: John Klock Jr had a son Matthias Klock in 1818, bap at Howerters
(the only Matthias/Matteus shown baptized in these church records)
Probably not atypo, but there is a Mattheus Fluck and Mariga having Philip
Jacob in 1783 atNew Bethel, Greenwich

I doubt that Sebastian was married in Germany. The Catharine on the boat
is more likely a sister or cousin. Catharine would have been too young to
have gotten married, even for the 1730's. And the children didn't start in until
about 1740. Catharine, (I believe Schambach) likely married Bastian in Lehigh County.
I also suspect that the Bastian in the Rev was more likely Bastian Jr.

Sebastian Truckenmiller came to America on the pink "John and William," of
Sunderland, Constable Tymperton, master, from Rotterdam, which qualified at
Philadelphia Oct. 17, 1732. On the original list of passengers (Pennsylvania
Archives, Vol. XVII, Second Series, pages 72-73) his name is given as Sebastian
and Bastian, and his wife's name as Catarina. In a secluded spot, in a field on
the farm of the late Jacob Nuss, at Koch's schoolhouse, in Upper Milford
township, Lehigh Co., Pa., lie the remains of this pioneer and Revolutionary war
soldier and his wife. He is called "Captain" Truckenmiller. For the benefit of
their many descendants a verbatim copy of the inscriptions on their tombstones
