    Name Suffix: Senior

When was Balthasar born? The signature on the will of 1782 looks as if he
was quite old. He just appears in Montgomery Countyin 1763 and
get married there. It's possible that he actually lived in Berksand
just attended church across the border in Montgomery County.

Searching for information on decendents of the name TRITT. Brothers Hans Peter and
Christian sailed aboard the Ship Robert and Alice in 1739 and were reported to
have first settled in Berks County. The name has been known to have variations
such as DRITT, D'TRITT, TREAT, and so forth. The lineage to various
Pennsylvania families has been documented. I am in search of a line leading to
Greenbriar County, Virginia (now West Virginia) and on to Lee County, Virginia.
There was reported to be another relative named Balthus TRITT to have sailed
several years later and may have settled in North Carolina. Beginning search
    from scratch.

    From genforum: http://genforum.genealogy.com/trout/messages/815.html
There was also a Joseph and Mary TROUT who lived in the Cocalico Township and engaged in land deals with Philip TROUT and Adam MOSER in the 1750s.[6]
Adam MOSER may be the brother of Eva MOSER who married Balthasar TROUT,
probably the son of one of the three brothers.

Generation: 3

  1. 4.  Hans George (Jerk) TRAUT was born Abt 1675, Germany (son of Father TRAUT); died 2 Aug 1745, Germantown, Philadelphia Co, PA.

    Notes:

I think that this is the Traut who appeared in Lambsheim with Johannes and
came to America c1719. He remarried when he got here in Philadelphia
and then moved on to Germantown with the rest of his family.

I'm showing that George doesn't seem active with the Brethren, but
his children may have been involved.

Children born in Germany with first wife Anna Maria
    John 1699
Anna Maria 1702, sp John Trout

Children with second wife (assuming) Sarah:
?? guessingyounger daughters might be listed by name in will.

a worker in Germantown in 1724, Hans Jerk Trout

1734 taxlist, Germantown, George Trout $28 (see PA Gen Soc Vol I)

    ****************************************************************** Ideas:
    1) George is a son of early immigrant John. But that John should have his eldest
son being John, born 1799. Perhaps George is the one born 1703 and married at age
17? Then Philip would have been younger yet, born after 1709, perhaps 1710?

    2) George is a much younger son of John Henry. Younger so that he wasn't
included in the land dealings and too young for inclusion inthe early lists
of Trouts at Germantown. Note that Baltzer Trout was a witness to his will,
so he seems to have some connection to this family. The witness can't have
an interest in the will - he could be a brother or cousin, but not a son of George.

    3) This is really old George, brother of John. He remarried in 1720
    ** using this theory now

    4) George is a cousin that just came over later?
    ***************************************************************************
the book with the newspapers (?), pg 1342 says he died 26 sep 1745.But
that would be before his will was written? where did he die?

    ***** will
will of George Troud, Philadelphia Co, Yeoman, mentions children:
wife Cassie (not shown in abstract)
    Leaney (Elean? Eleanor?)
    Catherine
    Henry
5 other children (although this is not shown in abstract)
Exec, John Frederick Ax (Ochs) and Richard Rubb
Wit: John Baltzer Troud and Godfrey Geyger

    ***** Other George Trouts:

At St. Michaels in 1751, Johannes, s/o Hans Jurg Trauts andChristina,
sp Johannes Negele and wf Eva Cathrina

Note also that the witnesses at Baltzer Traut's wedding in 1755 include
Georg Traut and Jeremias Traut(but this George had died in 1745, so who
is that?) This is at St.Michaels.

***** Notes on people in will
Note - a Frederick Oss appears to be a neighbor of Philip Traut of Cocalico.
Frederick Ax appears to be an executor for several people in Germantown at the
    time.

Note - a Jacob Traut (immig 1749) married Maria Eva Rupp in 1735. (note Rubb above)

    (of New Hanover I think)

Note: I put Paulus as the son of George based on speculation only
(ages, etc). There were a couple Moser families on the same ship.
I'm pretty sure Paulus is the one who consistently used Paulus instead
of "Paul". There was a Paul Moser who moved on to Oley Church area
    who is different!

    Notes:

In Journal of Rev. Muhlenberg, I:217-8, April 1749 (with a footnote saying
"According to the Church Record, Elisabeth, wife of Paul Moser, was buried
    April8, 1749"

In the month of April a young married woman in the New Hannover congregation
passed away. She had been enlightened and converted by God's Word for several
years and was able to give a reason for her faith in and love for the Lord Jesus,
for she had accepted Him in faith and He had given her the right to be called
His child. Whenever she came to see me I never failed to be edified by her
godly converstaion because she knew by experience what it means to come to
Christ as a weary, heavy laden, and pardoned sinner. She had also learned meekness
and sincere humility by following Him. She was stricken withpleurisy, and from the
very beginning she surmised that she would attain to the rest that remaineth, so she
began at once to prepare herself well for departure.

I was summoned to travel up from Providence and give her Holy Communion, but,
owing to other necessary pastoral duties, was unable to get there until the next
day. When I arrived I saw at once that there were some signs of approaching death.
She said, "I have been desiring to be strengthened and refreshed just once more
during this mortal life with the body and blood of my Lord Jesus before I die,
otherwise I might well have passed away already."

When I asked her whether she was prepared for a blessed death, she replied,
"I havea desire to depart and be with Christ! Lord, now let Thy handmaiden
depart in peace, for the eyes of my faith have seen Thy salvation, etc. But
what makes my departure hard are my little children whom I must leave behind
unreared in this wild and tempting country. But I have commended them to the
Lord in prayer and I trust that He will lead them upon the straight way to
heaven and let none of them perish!" She made her confession, prayed fervently
with me, and received the Holy Communion with hunger and thirst. Five horus later
she fell asleep in the Lord to the sorrow of all who knew her. Her funeral text
wasfrom John 1:47, "Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile."

note - LDS Family Search calls her Elisabeth Dunckl

    Notes:

the organization of this family is purely speculative and arranged for my convenience
in research. I'm guessing that the Trauts that stayed in Germantown proper were the
children of Baltzer Trout Sr. The others seem to fit here under George. I'm not convinced that Jeremiah had any kids.
