1761George and Christian Reiner have land by Abraham Reiner (source?)

Burgert'sbook Eighteen Century Emigrants of The Northern Kraichgau
(A PA German Society release), pg 285 discusses the immigrant brothers
George and Christian, including documents of them in Schwaigern. I have
not seen the relationship to the other Reiners on the Fane (Burgert mentions
the other family indepently coming from the same area, also from Schwaigern
but shows George and Christian settling in Upper Milford). I've compared signatures
of Christian and found a good match with the one signing next to George.

note in National Genealogical Society, Vol 66:
Peter Oberlin of Upper Milford and his wf Ann, sold on 14 Sep1756, 149 acres
to George and Christian Reiner, Patent 14 may 1761, recorded 18 May 1761 (AA-2:280)

Beginning of Masser family info in History of Northumberland County
    (Floyd'sbook), pg 498.

MASSER. The Masser family, to which the late Dr. Franklin B.Masser, of Sunbury,
Northumberland counts belonged, as also the late Jacob C.Masser and his younger
brother, Felix C. Masser, both of Upper Mahantongo township, the latter
still engaged in farming and a large land owner, was established in Berks county,
Pa., in the latter half of the eighteenth century.

Matthias Masser, the first of this
family to come to America, was a native of Wurtemberg, Germany, and in an
early day settled in Alsace township, Berks Co., Pa., where he followed farming
and at the time of his death owned a plantation. His wife, whose maiden
name was Barbara Berger, was a native of Switzerland, and they are buried side
by side at Zion's Church, known locally as Alsace Church. His death occurred
July 20, l797, in Alsace township, but no date of her death is given.

His last will and testament, made Dec. 12, 1795, and signed "Mathias Maaser,'
states "I am old in years." It was witnessed by Jacob Young and John Spyker,
and was probated soon after his death. His seven children were: Jacob,
Johannes, Henry, Abraham, Maria, Esther and Christina (deceased wife of
Jacob Clauser; they had one child).

The early Massers worshipped with the German Reformed denomination and were
identified with the Spiess and Jacksonwald Churches, at which many of the name are
buried. The family is still quite numerous in Berks county, some of its members
still living in thelocality where the emigrant ancestor settled, and in l909 there
were nine adult members of the family in the city of Reading. Augustus W. Masser,
a seed merchant of that City, bears a strong physical resemblance to Felix C.
    Masser, of Northumberland county.

    Submitted by: Robert Fairchild Heltman

Trying to prove parentage of John HELTMAN/HELPMAN who died intestate in Logan Twp, Clinton Co., PA in 1845. He married Christina KLECKNER/GLOECKNER ca 1780, probably in Moore Twp., Northampton Co., and they lived there until after 1793 when they moved westward. He was listedas "Doctor" and his estate was administered by Philip WOHLFORT, George WOHLFORT, and Levi SNOOK. Five of the children listed in his will in Centre Co. were baptized at Shoenersville, Lehigh Co.
He may be the son of Johannes HELTMAN/HELDMANN, blacksmith of Colebrookdale, Berks Co., PA, who was probably the Johannes who immigrated on the "John and Elizabeth" on 7 Nov 1754. Johannes HELTMAN died in 1814. This John HELTMAN, blacksmith of Colebrookdale, bought land in WestBuffalo Twp, Northumberland [now Union] Co., in 1773; he was an original member at the founding of Dreisbach's Church (between Lewisburg and Mifflinburg, Union Co., PA) in 1788. Sometime before 1805 he moved to Sugar Valley, Greene Twp., [now] Clinton Co. where he died in 1814.
