    Notes:

According to the Sevier county Census' Harvey's mother is Rebecca Lafollett and he had a brother named William R. who was a few years younger.
The 1840 and 1850 census shows that Rebecca either living with Elizabeth Lafollett or lived on the property. The relationship of Rebecca Lafollett to George and Elizabeth Lafollett is unknown. By 1860 Census Rebecca is 49 years old and living with her son William R. Lafollett often spelled Follett.

He seems to disappear from any census or other records after the 1870 Sevier County Census.

Harvey's second wife is Lucinda, perhaps his step sister Lucinda Ellison. Rebecca lafollett married Alexander Ellison in 1861. Alexander had a daughter named Lucinda about the same age. Perhaps Harvey ran off with Lucinda his step sister to Jefferson County where he and Lucinda show up in the Jefferson County 1870 census. He was previously living next to his mother Rebecca and his brother William R Lafollet in the 1860 Sevier county Cenus. and living with his first wife Catherine.

Harvey — Catherine LAFOLLETT. Catherine was born 1833, Sevier County, Tennesse; died Yes, date unknown. [Group Sheet]

    Notes:

Acording to the Sevier county Census' William's mother is Rebecca Lafollett and he had a brother named Harvey who was a few years older.
The 1840 and 1850 Sevier County Tennessee census shows that Rebecca either living with Elizabeth Lafollett or lived on the property. The relationship of Rebecca Lafollett to George and Elizabeth Lafollett is unknown. By 1860 Cenus Rebecca is 49 years old and living with her son William R. Lafollett often spelled Follett.

Rebecca Lafollett first appears in the 1840 Sevier Co. Census as Rebecca Follet living with 2 sons under 5 years old she is also living with or on the same property as Elizabeth (Gann) Follet, husband George has died, sons William and George Jr. live there also and Jeremiah Follet lives with his wife and a daughter under age 5...The 1840 census only named Head-of-household. By the 1850 census their name is misspelled as (Layfallet) but Rebecca is 37 years old with a son Harvey 19 and William 11, they are living with or on the same property as Elizabeth (Gann)Layfallet 57 and her sons George 15 and William 18 I don't know who Sarah Layfallet 4 belongs to, also listed in that census. By 1860 Cencus Rebecca Lafollett is now living with her married son William R. Lafollett and wife Louiza, Elizabeth (Gann) Lafollett and family lives near. By 1870 Census Rebecca is not mentioned but William R. misspelled (Layfayett) lives with wife Louiza G. Daughters Mary E., Nancy J., Julia Ann, Sarah M., and son James H. are listed. By 1880 there is a 73 year old "mother" R (Rebecca) Lafollet living with 43-year-old son WR and wife LG 48, dau ME 19, dau NJ 18, dau JA 16, dau SM 12, son JH 10, son WC 9, dau VH 5. (W.C. 9, I believe is my greatgrandfather, William C. Lafollett). I am looking for more information on Rebecca Lafollett born around 1807-1811. I'm not sure what relation she is to George and Elizabeth(Gann) Lafollett. Is she a niece, daughter in-law, sister, are her kids legitamate who was her husband? But she lived with George and Elizabeth(Gann) Lafollett or on their property for a long time. George had a very large family living with him in the 1830 Census spelled, George Follet.
Rebecca may have married Alexander Ellison in 1861. Alexander Ellison had 4 children,Louisa, Lucinda, James and William. Ibby, his first wife was 14 years his senior, she may have died before 1860 when Rebecca married him. Lucinda was Rebecca's step daughter and it may have happened that Harvey ran off to marry Lucinda his step-sister. In the 1870 census Harvey is married to Lucinda and living in Jefferson county.
